Steel City Sports and Social club is a group from Sheffield looking to raise money through sports and activity whilst trying to promote a health and wellbeing. What started off as a group of lads playing football a few nights a week turned into something bigger.
A team was formed for a charity match in Belfast with fellow charity team The Hospice Heroes, even though the match was very one sided and the heroes were victorious, the lads from the Steel City took a lot away from the experience. A weekend away from the regular stresses of life with friends all to play football and raise money.
Returning to England the club was formed to continue the good times and help raise money for important causes. The group is looking for teams to play against as well as sponsors to help with football matches, golf days and many more events planned for the future.
